Measuring principle
Pressure technology solutions include capacitive, piezoresistive and other sensors to provide essential process data in differential, gage and absolute pressure applications. These sensors measure pressure, level, flow and derivatives by physically responding to the changes in process pressure, converting the physical movement into an electrical signal.
Application
Fluid level monitoring: By measuring pressure at the bottom of a tank, pressure sensors can accurately determine liquid levels, alerting operators when levels are too low or high.
Flow rate measurement: Differential pressure sensors can be used to calculate flow rate by measuring the pressure difference across an orifice plate in a pipeline.
Leak detection: Sudden pressure drops in a system can indicate leaks, allowing for early detection and preventative maintenance.
Process control: Pressure sensors are integrated into industrial processes to maintain desired operating pressures, optimizing production quality.
Pipeline monitoring: Monitoring pressure along pipelines can detect potential blockages or leaks, ensuring safe and efficient fluid transport.
Filter pressure monitoring: Checking the pressure drop across filters can indicate when they need to be cleaned or replaced.
